What happens next?

The Mental Health Units (Use of Force) was introduced to Parliament by Steve Reed MP. It will create accountability and transparency in the mental health services and tackle the unconscious bias that means too many members of our black community are treated differently.

No one else should suffer like Seni did, and every citizen from every background should feel safe when using NHS mental health services.

Together, we can make our mental health services safe and equal for everyone.

Every year, thousands of mental health patients are held in outdated and harmful restraints. It causes distress, injury, and in some cases it can kill. Despite new government guidelines, restraint is used far too often.

Seni’s Law needs MPs to be in Parliament for the Bill’s Third Reading on 6 July to prevent it being talked out. Help the campaign by emailing your MP.
